Job description

The Role: As a QC Engineer with our client, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality control of their monopiles. In this exciting role, you will directly contribute to the energy transition and sustainability of Europe.
What will you do? As part of the Quality Control team, you will work independently and make decisions that have a direct impact. Your base will be at the modern Maasvlakte 2 location in Rotterdam.
  • Perform quality inspections on products and processes according to schedules and guidelines.
  • Carry out manual and technical measurements using advanced measuring equipment.
  • Conduct visual and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) inspections, with a focus on weld inspections.
  • Create reports and communicate them to the operations department.
  • Advise on quality requirements and suggest process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures and take action when deviations occur.
  • Analyze process and measurement deviations.
  • Initiate corrective actions to promote a "First Time Right" approach.
  • Identify and report quality issues at an early stage.
  • Train colleagues on quality procedures and work instructions.
  • Continuously seek improvements in the quality control processes.

Your Profile:
  • Completed technical education at MBO level (preferably in mechanical engineering).
  • Extensive experience in welding and knowledge of production processes in the steel industry, quality systems, and relevant standards (ISO, ASME, API).
  • A valid Vtw-2 certificate or the willingness to obtain it in the short term.
  • Additional certifications such as NDT, IWI-C, IWT, CSWIP are a plus.
  • Affinity with measurement instruments and advanced measurement techniques.
  • Flexibility to work at other locations and travel when needed.
  • In possession of a VCA-VOL certificate.
  • Willingness to work in a 3-shift or alternative shift system.
  • Proficiency in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
