From our Dutch service hub, we support customers throughout the region and beyond. To strengthen our technical team, we are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Field Service Engineer.

Your Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Installing, testing, and commissioning packaging machines at customer sites
  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Diagnosing and solving technical issues (mechanical, electrical, and software-related)
  • Providing on-site support and training to operators and technicians
  • Reporting on service visits and giving feedback to internal departments

Job requirements

Your Responsibilities:
  • Install, repair, and maintain technical installations at customer locations while following work instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Consult with customers about the condition of their installations, conduct independent inspections, and ensure the timely replacement of vulnerable parts. Order spare parts and install them upon delivery.
  • Inspect installations and equipment by gathering relevant information from customers and planning teams to diagnose potential malfunctions using available schematics and documentation.
  • Collect and assess information to independently analyze and troubleshoot problems for internal reporting.
  • Prepare technical reports, log work hours, record material usage, maintain service logs, and update the installed base database.
  • Provide advice on system expansions, preventive maintenance, service project progress, and necessary improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and actively encourage colleagues to follow safety procedures, use personal protective equipment, and adhere to protocols.

What You Bring
  • Minimum MBO+ level in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics
  • Relevant experience in a technical service role (preferably in the packaging or Food industry)
  • Basic knowledge of PLC control systems (e.g., Siemens S7 or similar)
  • A customer-focused mindset, independence, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight
  • Valid driver’s license (B)

What We Offer
  • Salary between €3500,- and €4500,- based on your experience plus 8.33% holiday allowance.
  • 25 vacation days and 13 additional leave days (ATV) based on full-time employment.
