Job description

Your role as operator in the paper factory:
  • Take charge of the paper machine, ensuring it operates smoothly and efficiently, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Direct and support your colleagues, including the fabric preparer and papermaker/dryer, ensuring that all tasks are completed effectively and safely. Maintain a positive team atmosphere and foster collaboration among team members.
  • Monitor and adjust the quality of paper production, including color, raw materials, felt, grammage, and more, to ensure consistent and high-quality output.
  • Identify any issues in the production process and address them quickly.
  • Work closely with process and development technologists to implement improvements and innovations, such as experimenting with new materials (e.g., jeans fiber, cocoa shells).
  • Ensure that the paper machine is thoroughly cleaned, maintained, and prepared for the next week’s production. Perform all required checks, addressing any maintenance issues to ensure the machine operates smoothly. Verify that all safety protocols and operational standards are met before shutting down for the weekend.

Job requirements

Who are you:
  • You have a completed MBO-4 (Senior Secondary Vocational Education) in Process Technology;
  • Experience in the paper production industry is highly valued, with knowledge of the paper manufacturing process, machine operation, quality control, and maintenance;
  • The ability to quickly identify and address operational issues to ensure smooth production and minimize downtime;
  • A strong desire to learn and adapt to new systems and processes within the paper industry, especially for those with a technical background;
  • Comfortable with working in a 3-shift system, including Saturday, to ensure the machine is properly maintained and ready for the upcoming week’s production.

What we offer:
  • A salary of up to €3,500 per month, depending on your experience;
  • 25 holiday days and 13 ADV days annually;
  • Holiday allowance equivalent to 8% of your yearly salary;
  • A relocation budget of €3,000 to support your move;
  • Full assistance with relocating to the Netherlands, including help with housing and administrative tasks.
