Job description

Your main focus is on high-voltage (primary) components and related constructions for the purpose of setting up and assembling these components. For example, high voltage transformers, switches, separators and associated current and voltage transformers, cable and/or line connections and all associated supporting structures. You are responsible from the basic design through to project execution and delivery. You draw up project and design specifications based on developed technical concepts and carry out preliminary and follow-up calculations.

In other words... you design the primary components for our projects. Such a project involves a variety of activities. The design itself, of course, but also monitoring the planning, for example. You use your technical insight to make an effective translation from functional design to executable project plans. You also take care of the technical documentation and implementation documents and work according to the Systems Engineering methodology.

You are responsible for a wide range of engineering activities. You work with the project team from start to finish and are the sparring partner for/of the technical manager in the successive phases of the project from basic design in the preparation phase to detailed engineering. You give direction to both internal and external engineers.

You design and verify integral solutions based on customer specifications, technical standards, guidelines, and laws and regulations. Besides all this, you take care of proactive progress monitoring, solve bottlenecks, report back your findings, perform quality checks and are responsible for project documentation. Together with the project team, you bear responsibility for a good design based on safety, technology and practical feasibility.

Job requirements

A completed degree in mechanical or energy engineering with affinities in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
You have an affinity in energy engineering, preferably you have knowledge of infranets and have previously worked in a similar working environment.
Knowledge of high-voltage components such as switches and/or separators or connections is a strong plus. You enjoy working with electricity networks (high voltage) and energy technology
In addition, you have well-developed communication skills and experience with project-based work.
