The mechanical fitter position is focused on performing maintenance work on mechatronic systems. The mechanical fitter mainly operates at external locations for the realization of high-quality, specialized and/or certified work on mechatronic systems and construction parts.

What are your tasks?

• Building mechanical components and parts into complete structures, devices or modules based on drawings and instructions.
• Maintaining and installing mechanical equipment.
• Locating, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical failures.
• Testing and adjusting assembled parts.
• Performing all common repair, maintenance and inspection work in the mechanical field.
• Overhaul, sheet metal and welding work.

• Creative, independent and practical minded.
• MBO level of education or work experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical work as well as pneumatics, hydraulics and welding.
• An enthusiastic, flexible candidate with a no-nonsense attitude.
• Good improvisational and analytical skills.
• Accurate and able to respond to changing circumstances.
• A safety-conscious and accurate working attitude.
• Insight into the operation of machines and processes.
• Reading technical drawings.
• In possession of a VCA diploma or willing to obtain one in the short term.
• Sense of responsibility and passion for technology.

The company you will be working for has four distinct specialties. Metal Works for quality and custom welding and assembly work. Field Services focuses on certified welding and technical maintenance / new construction. Linked to that is the Turbine Services / Rotating Equipment section which this vacancy concerns. A specialty in which it takes care of the maintenance and overhaul of (gas, water and/or steam) turbines.
