Job description

As Technical Manager your main activities are:

  • Having the engineering process executed in accordance with the scope defined by the Asset Manager and within the set preconditions.
  • Up to 'Basic Design' phase responsible for the technical design.
  • You are ultimately responsible for all engineering disciplines: the specialist engineers have each shared responsibility for their own discipline
  • Provide functional leadership to "own" engineering team.
  • After handing over the 'Basic Design' you take on a directing role for the 'Detailed and Execution Design'. This means testing and directing the contractor where the full technical responsibility for design and realization lies with the contractor.
  • Managing the interfaces between the project and the (technical) environment (Asset Management, other projects, other disciplines such as planning, etc.).
  • Working on organizational developments that contribute to the vision and strategy of the project.

Job requirements

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant technical field: A solid educational background in a technical discipline is essential.
  • Proven experience in the infrastructure sector: You have a strong track record as an engineer in the infrastructure sector, with extensive experience in the construction and management of large projects.
  • Experience in team management: You have demonstrated experience in functionally managing and leading teams, ensuring effective collaboration and productivity.
  • Proficiency in English, with a willingness to learn Dutch: You possess a professional command of the English language and are open to acquiring Dutch language skills.
  • Analytical skills: You are able to identify and focus on the main issues, distinguishing them from side issues, and make connections between topics within the project as well as across different project areas.
  • Excellent communication skills: You can effectively communicate at all levels - from shop floor to client and management level- both verbally and in writing.
  • Sense of responsibility: You take ownership not just of your own tasks, but also for your team, demonstrating a high level of accountability and leadership.
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects: valued between at €400 million €1.6 billion . Your role will involve overseeing the technical aspects and ensuring that the projects are executed to the highest standards.

Salary

€4.500 - €8.000 gross income per month
