Job description

Within Engine Development is the center of competence for heavy duty diesel and hydrogen engine and aftertreatment systems. Our engines and trucks are best of class products in the transportation world. We are driven to providing environmentally friendly products that are cost-effective and highly reliable for our customers.

Within the Engine Development department, the System Function Design team is responsible for defining new engines including emissions, OBD and diagnostics. To support the growth in projects and technology development, we are looking for a well-qualified:

Job description

  • For heavy duty diesel and hydrogen engines , responsible to take the lead in development of OBD / OBM related control concepts (i.e. system level requirements for software functionality);
  • Support in creating development plans for necessary control updates related to new OBD / OBM regulation;
  • Create controller concepts for new OBD requirements
o Create and verify concept with SIL, HIL or RCP on an engine
o Unambiguous documentation of controller requirements on engine system level
o Support calibration engineers with pre calibration of new controller concepts
  • Share OBD expertise with group and support creating vision for future OBD/OBM concepts;
  • Play a key role as an integrator between suppliers and internal stakeholders to develop the control concepts on OBD/OBM monitoring.

Job requirements

MSc degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering;

  • Knowledge of EU and NA emission and OBD regulations;
  • Experience with engine and after treatment controller development;
  • Able to lead a technical team and cope with suppliers for OBD matter;

  • Experience on Six Sigma related processes
o i.e. DMAIC, Design For Six Sigma, FMEA, Monte Carlo
  • Good knowledge of requirement engineering process;
  • Extensive knowledge of Matlab and Simulink;
  • Doors Next Generation experience is a pre;
  • Good English skills are mandatory and Dutch skills are a pre;

Salary

€4.500 - €6.500 gross income per month
