Department Information
The Diagnostics department is part of the After Sales organization within Marketing & Sales.
This department, consisting of ~65 people, is responsible for the development, production and maintenance of the off-board diagnostic equipment (hard- and software) for DAF Trucks and PACCAR service workshops and factories worldwide, as well as for product development and special applications.

Job description
As a Diagnostics Software Test Engineer you are part of the Diagnostics Release & Quality Control Team.
This dynamic team is responsible for the agile development and (automatic) testing of the software for the DAVIE diagnosis tool.
The aim is to provide a high-quality diagnostic tool to support the entire PACCAR organization with optimal diagnostic, testing and programming functions and knowledge.
In the DAVIE software V-cycle development process (customer requirements, design, implementation, verification and validation) your focus will be on (system, integration & component) software testing including reporting and initial problem analysis.
This requires intensive and good cooperation with colleagues from the Diagnostics Content department. In this position you report to the Diagnostic Release & Quality Control Manager.

Job requirements

Job Profile
For this challenging position, we would like to get in touch with candidates with an education at HBO level in automotive engineering.
At least 5 years of professional and specialized knowledge in the field of software testing, preferably in the automotive industry.
A good understanding of the English language is a must, verbal and written. Your experience in testing of software components and systems, experience in translating requirements into test cases and knowledge of SW test processes are largely visible on your CV. Finally, you are communicative, decisive and socially skilled and able to act at all levels.

Key skills:
  • Demonstrated system and component software testing skills
  • Software programming skills for software testing
  • Experience with testing SW applications on Windows PCs
  • Experience with test case and problem reporting tools
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and/or Continuous Deployment
  • Diagnostic vehicle communication knowledge is an asset
  • ISTQB foundation level

Salary

€4.500 - €5.500 gross income per month
