Job description

Are you looking for new challenge as a field service technician and are you searching for a job within the marine industry? Then you are the one we’re searching for!

What are you going to do?
As a Service Technician you’re ensuring the continual operation and service of systems worldwide. You’re involved in installation, troubleshooting and repairing of systems and retrofit third party equipment associated with marine stabilizer systems. You must maintain the reputation and image of the company through their dealings with shipyards, vessels, and customers.

Your core duties are:
  • Providing service and maintenance on systems;
  • Assist, when needed, shipyards, vessel engineers, and onboard engineering staff with equipment installation;
  • Maintain clean, organized, supplied, and in safe assigned tool boxes;
  • Generate accurate Sit Visit reports and Expense Reports;
  • Follow current company travel arrangement procedures to ensure service trips are properly scheduled.

Important to know:
This position requires extensive domestic and international travel, occasionally for extended periods of time. While all efforts will be made to cooperatively schedule the travel and the time spent away from the office, this position necessitates the flexibility to work unsociable hours, extended hours, and to travel with minimal-to-no notice. When not working at a customer site the normal work location will be the main office

Job requirements

Who are you?
  • You’ve complete an MBO level 4 education
  • You are eager to travel and have an affinity for visiting customers worldwide (with a focus on Europe).
  • You can read schematics and drawings in the hydraulic, electronic and mechanical field
  • Experience with servicing on marine vessels is a plus
  • You are independent, decisive, proactive, and flexible.
  • You have a good command of the English language; a second language (German, Spanish, or French) is a plus.
  • Detailed oriented with the ability to accurately multi-task in order to meet deadlines
